Here are shortly my news in English
It's has been a long process to find the right assignment for me. :) I didn't have any particular language or people group in my mind when I started this process. I just wanted to use my gifts and knowledge in order to serve in a translation project.
I visited Caucasus last year, whee there are several projects going on, but there is no need for exegetical work (which is my area) at the moment. We discussed several possibilites with Wycliffe Finland last autumn, and Hannu sent emails to several areas. I got replies from SIL Ethiopia and IBT Russia. I was able to visit Moscow in order to learn more about the projects in Russia. After praying and pondering a while, I have come to the conclusion that Ethiopia is the best place for me.
The suggestion of Ethiopia came "out of the blue". The reason for Hannu to suggest this was that in order to get a work permit in there, one needs to have a degree or diploma related to work. (So in Bible translation, one needs to have a degree in theology or Bible.) And I happen to have one. :) :)
So the question of the future placement has been sorted. I have also been working with my thesis, and I hope that it would be ready for pre-examination process. (I sent my current work for my professor on Thursday.) I'm also raising my support. I have most of the needed sum but still some is needed.
And it is good to know, that God has good plans for us:

I've been knitting as well, and I'm also selling some of my older work that I haven't used. :) (I'm also selling some socks that I don't need but I have used some left over yarn.)
